Black Malaysian Trumpet Snails (Melanoides tuberculata)
MTS are great for stirring up and aerating the substrate whilst eating detritus and leftover food which is beneficial for plants and fish. They're also very good at eating certain types of algae especially diatoms and dust algae.
They are relatively easy to care for, but proper water parameters are still important. A preferred temperature range of 18-28°C although they handle cooler water and a pH of 6.4-7.5 are generally recommended.They can be kept in both coldwater and tropical aquariums.
In the rare case that your livestock arrives dead, we offer a fair and standard DOA policy.
To qualify, you must contact us within 1 hour of delivery. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.
When reporting a DOA, please provide a video and three clear photos of the fish in its unopened, sealed bag as originally packaged. Clear images are required for processing your claim.
Once approved, we will issue a refund or replace for the DOA
